Private Lessons
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, seeking traditional or experimental approaches, we cater to all levels and styles. Our comprehensive range of in-studio and online lessons cover guitar, lap steel guitar, pedal steel guitar, bass, upright bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, baritone ukulele, banjolele, drums, piano, harmonica, voice, music theory and songwriting. With lessons available seven days a week, there's something that fits everyone's schedule.

Private Lessons for Two Students
If you and a friend, partner, spouse, parent, or grandparent share a passion for music and play the same instrument at a similar skill level, why not embark on your musical journey together? Private Lessons for Two provide tailored instruction with a focus on both of you, all at a discounted tuition rate. These weekly sessions are offered for most instruments. (Students are required to bring their own instruments, or they can be purchased at Twin Town Guitars.)

U is for Ukulele
Embark on a six-week journey where both you and your child can explore the joy and simplicity of playing the ukulele together. No prior musical experience is necessary—all you need is your ukulele and your enthusiasm! Conclude the class with a heartwarming performance at the Uptown VFW, showcasing the newfound skills and bond you've developed. (Ukuleles are available for purchase at Twin Town Guitars starting at $45.)

Percussion Playground - A Drum Group for Beginners
Join our group for a six-week percussion exploration designed for aspiring drummers! Beginner students learn about playing rhythm using foundational drumming techniques on a diverse array of instruments, from unconventional buckets and tubs to more traditional auxiliary percussion instruments! This class includes drumsticks, a custom band t-shirt, and an exciting opportunity to showcase your new skills with a live performance at the Uptown VFW!

Girl Powered Youth Band
Explore new instruments, craft a band name, rehearse several songs, and learn essential stage performance skills to rock! Cap off the experience with an electrifying live performance at the Uptown VFW. This eight-week session is open to all female and gender expansive students.

2026 Summer Band Camps for Youth & Teen Students
At our summer camps, students refine their talents through collaborative, fun rehearsals. Each day features targeted lessons covering microphone techniques, improvisation, stage presence, and songwriting. Students also have the opportunity to try new instruments, choose a band name, practice multiple songs, and record their music before taking the stage for an exhilarating live performance!

Twin Town Show Choir Camp June 2026 *NEW*
Learn how to sing and dance to choreographed music with your friends in Twin Town’s very own Show Choir Camp! Led by talented singer/songwriter, Ashley Groves, students will work together to build vocal skills, learn fun and engaging choreography, and perform popular songs in a supportive, high-energy group setting. This class is a great way to build confidence, develop stage presence, and experience the excitement of performing as part of a team. This fun-filled class concludes with a live stage performance!

Twin Town Music Video Camp June 2026 *NEW*
Bring music to life on screen in our Music Video Camp! Students will explore how music videos tell stories through music and visuals while learning the basics of storyboarding, filming, and production. Working together, they’ll plan and shoot an original video to a pre-selected song, taking turns directing, acting, and producing on set. After filming, the group will edit their footage into a finished music video—premiering on the Twin Town Guitars YouTube channel for friends and family to enjoy.

Play Without Pauses: Guitar Chord Transition Workshop *NEW*
Do you know a few open-position chords but struggle to switch between them smoothly? In this one-hour group class for beginners to advanced beginners, you’ll learn how to better coordinate your strumming and fretting hands through focused, repetitive exercises designed to build muscle memory and timing. By practicing efficient chord transitions, you’ll gain the confidence to play through songs without stopping. You’ll also learn how slowing down your practice and using a metronome can dramatically improve your accuracy and consistency. Say goodbye to sloppy chord changes and start playing with control and flow.

Beginning Guitar Group

Fingerstyle Guitar Ensemble
Take your guitar playing to the next level and experience the thrill of performing with others! This six-week course is for intermediate players who want to expand their performance skills while learning to play as part of a small guitar ensemble. Together, we’ll tackle popular songs arranged for multiple guitars, with music provided in both tab and standard notation. Each week you’ll rehearse, refine, and build chemistry with your group as you prepare to hit the stage. The course concludes with a live performance at the Uptown VFW in Minneapolis. Pedal Steel Primer Workshop
Designed for beginners and the curious, this workshop offers an introduction to the fascinating world of pedal steel guitars. Explore how pedal steel guitars work, learn about their setup, and how to create the emotion they’re famous for. Hands-on time with the instrument is included, and we’ll also provide the valuable resources you need to get plugged into the steel world on your own.

Build Your Own Fuzz Pedal
Get an in-depth look into the wild world of fuzz! This pedal is based on classic designs from the 1960's like the Colorsound Fuzz, Vox Tonebender and Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face, but made even better with modern True Bypass Switching, power jack and an LED. And, know for certain, that before you leave this workshop, you will own an amazing fuzz pedal that you built with your own, two, hands! Authentic Songwriting for Adults
If you have unfinished lyrics, fragments of songs, or a quiet sense that there are songs inside you waiting to be written, this class is for you. This community-centered songwriting class at Twin Town Guitars is focused on one thing: writing songs. Through guided creative exercises in lyric writing, storytelling, and song structure, singer-songwriter Jaspar Lepak will help you generate new material and write authentic songs that matter to you while discovering your own voice as a songwriter. Whether you’re brand new to songwriting or feeling stuck in your current work, you’ll leave with new writing, fresh ideas, and practical tools to keep your songs moving forward. During the six weeks of class, you’ll have opportunities to share your work, receive optional feedback, and connect with fellow writers in a supportive, songwriting community.
