Founded in August 1997, and owned by Andrew and Carrie Bell, the vision for the shop is simple: Get it done honestly, quickly, correctly, and affordably. The staff is made up of musicians, who are in the studio and on the stage, who know how to play and what to expect, and who just plain want to help you make music.

Located at 3400 Lyndale Avenue South in Minneapolis, Twin Town Guitars carries new and used instruments, and we offer some of the best and most affordable guitar and amplifier repair in Minnesota. We have parts, we special order, and will do just about anything to make your experience a good one.

In 2005, Twin Town tripled in size to offer a more floor space. Yes, you can actually walk around the shop now! And, we also proudly launched a lesson program for all ages and skill levels. The lesson program boasts 17, on-site lesson studios and provides a broad range of instruction including, electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, pedal steel guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, drums, piano, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, harmonica, voice, music theory and songwriting.

In 2011, we became Minnesota's first home to Solar Powered Rock! We added 100 Minnesota-made solar panels to our roof, and Twin Town Guitars became solarized.

And, in 2015, we stretched out a bit more by adding 850 square feet of space to create a place where you can bang on the drum all day long. Our dedicated drum shop offers drummers a place to find the best brands, repairs and advice.

Located on the corner of Lyndale Avenue South and 34th Street in Minneapolis, picking up where the legendary Benedict's Guitar Shop left off in 1995, there is a strong tradition of good service and cool gear that continues to this day. Twin Town Guitars is a store by and for musicians.
