This 17" Paiste Prototype has a nice warm, midsey bite to it.
As far as it's closest Paiste production relative, it's a little tricky to place. It appears to be B20 alloy, and it's hammering pattern and bell profile somewhat resemble that of the Paiste Masters Extra Thin crashes. However, weighing in at 1226g, this cymbal feels more "medium thin" than "extra thin". Perhaps that is what makes it a prototype? Regardless, this is a great sounding cymbal and is in excellent condition.
