Throughout 2024, we’re releasing a curated collection of limited-edition guitars celebrating the diversity of the Taylor line. Some guitars in the collection draw inspiration from player-favorite models over the decades, including the Grand Auditorium and 814ce. Others showcase fine tonewoods, exquisite appointments and exacting craftsmanship, like our premium Presentation Series. An homage to our founding year, production will be limited to no more than 1,974 guitars worldwide for each model.
One of our first 12-string guitars built with V-Class bracing in the Grand Orchestra body shape, the 858e LTD is an acoustic-electric featuring back and sides of solid Indian rosewood paired with a Sitka spruce top, yielding a rich octave shimmer with warm lows, crisp trebles and a slightly scooped midrange. With V-Class bracing inside, the jumbo-style body delivers room-filling volume without losing clarity or balance, retaining a dynamic response to a soft touch that pairs beautifully with the complex overtone profile of the rosewood/spruce construction. This limited-edition model boasts a comfort-enhancing radius-style armrest along with the slender Taylor neck for an ultra-relaxed feel despite the larger body. Appointments include maple binding, a single-ring abalone rosette, mother-of-pearl Element fretboard inlays, a gloss-finish body, and a rosewood pickguard.
