Classes for All Ages
Private Lessons
From beginning to advanced, traditional to experimental, we offer on-site lessons in comfortable studios for guitar, pedal steel guitar, bass, banjo, ukulele, drums, piano, mandolin, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, harmonica, voice, music theory and songwriting. Lessons are available seven days a week. We also produce winter and spring recitals at relaxed and local venues that are exciting for everyone!

Sampler Session
Not sure about what instrument you or your child would like to start with? Dream
about playing an instrument, but not sure where to begin? Join us for the private lesson Sampler Session which includes; 2 Bass, 2 Drum, 2 Guitar, and 2 Keyboard
Lessons. You don't need to own these instruments to attend. and at the
conclusion of the Session, we'll provide you with a recommendation and
options for continuing lessons with your chosen instrument.

Ensemble Classes Ensemble
is for students who are ready to take the next step with their instrument.
Students work together and
focus on one particular goal per month. Students increase confidence, while
working with other players in a fun, focused lesson session.

got a new summer band camp just for girls! In this fun and friendship
building, two-week long camp, girls work with instructor Allison Raney
to develop and hone their skills as musicians. Focusing on
improvisation, stage presence and songwriting, the group concludes with a

U is for Ukulele!
We
can’t think of anything more fun than making music with a child and a
ukulele! During this 4-week group session full of laughter and learning,
discover the joy and simplicity of playing ukulele together. No
previous music experience is required, just your ukulele, your child or
grandchild, and you. (Ukuleles are also available for purchase at Twin
Town Guitars starting at $30.)

Ukes Rock!

Beat Band
In this
six-week long class for beginners, have a blast learning about
rhythm and basic drumming technique, all while playing on anything from
trash cans to pots and pans! This introduction to the wild world of
percussion gives students an opportunity to explore the meaning of a
beat - and then some. Also included in this session is a pair of
drumsticks, a live performance, and whole bunch of fun!! See Beat Band in Action!

Band Buddy Duos for Youth If you and another buddy play the same instrument and would like to take lessons
together, then this is the class for you. The Band Buddy Duos program offers six lessons with a
high level of instructor attention for your and your buddy, and is available for
guitar, bass, banjo, ukulele, drums, mandolin, violin, viola, cello, saxophone,
clarinet, flute, trombone and trumpet. (Students supply their own instrument, or instruments can be purchased at Twin Town Guitars.)

Traveling Musical Petting Zoo
It is no secret that music experience supports the development of
children’s social and emotional growth. Additionally, studies show that
participation in music can have a significant impact on improving spatial
reasoning, pattern recognition, memory, and literacy skills. We also believe that making instruments and music accessible to children,
helps spark creativity in magical and unexpected ways, so we are extremely
excited to offer a hands-on music program for students of all ages. The
Traveling Musical Petting Zoo, specifically tailored to meet the needs of your
lesson schedule and age group, introduces students to the drums, guitar, bass
guitar and keyboard, along with various handheld percussion instruments – all
at your location! Presented by Twin Town Guitars Music Instructors, the
Traveling Musical Petting Zoo includes: explanations of instrument parts and
function, demonstration of the instruments, a group sing along, hands-on
instrument time, and sounds of laughter and faces filled with wonder - guaranteed at no extra
charge!

blues? Then you have come to the right place! Work on Jazz and Blues

The Creative Process of Songwriting
If you
wonder how songwriters shape their musical and lyrical ideas into a finished
piece, or if you have some ideas of your own that you would like to develop, then
this two-part, group class is for you! Join Ben Glaros as he discusses the
creative process of songwriting, the elements of classic song form, and walks through
the process of writing a song – with your help! In addition, this class
includes one half-hour individual session, scheduled at your convenience,
where Ben will help you on your own journey into the world of songwriting.
All musical styles and skill levels are welcome, and participants are invited
to perform an original song at a Twin Town Guitars Showcase!

Ukeshop
So you just
got a Ukulele. You've learned a few chords, and maybe you've learned a few
songs. Now what? Take this crash course Ukeshop and you'll be playing
Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in no
time. We'll start with the basics: how to read chord charts and tab,
basic strumming techniques, and how to switch chords with ease. Then
we'll move right into more complex strum patterns and picking patterns. Add a
dash of music theory and your favorite songs and you're set. One of the great
benefits of this group is to meet other players and exchange resources and song
ideas. Come with your uke in hand and if you have any sheet music of
songs you enjoy, bring that too.

Acoustic Hootenanny
Join
us for the Acoustic Hootenanny, guided by musician Mark Wade, of the
Melismatics. Bring your acoustic instrument and knock out some familiar

Twin Town Tributes: Bob Dylan
This class gives you the chance to learn a set of songs by your favorite
band or artist, and to rehearse and perform the songs with a group of
like-minded musicians. Be a part of the Twin Town Tributes band and learn the music of legend, Bob Dylan. Guided by Twin Town instructor and local music veteran, Ben
Glaros, this six-week
class concludes with a live performance at The Whiskey Junction!

"It's Now Or Never" Program If you are kicking yourself for not picking up that guitar you’ve had for years, or wish you would have continued taking piano lessons when you were younger, now is the time to get down to business! The "It's Now or Never” Program at Twin Town includes four guitar, bass, banjo, drums, piano, mandolin, or voice lessons, a free loaner instrument (with deposit), and that amazing feeling of accomplishing something you always wanted to do.
