Twin Town Guitars was founded in 1997 by Andrew Bell and Jim Peterson as a music store by and for musicians. They were two guys who were sick and tired of the same old song-and-dance you had to perform to either buy, sell or repair gear. The premise was simple: Get it done fast, right, and affordably. Be polite and honest, but accept no BS. There are enough problems between the stage and studio to add unnecessary BS into the mix.
Twin Town is made up of musicians - everyone has been on stage and in the studio. Knowing what to expect and how to solve your problems for a good experience is what we can best offer.
We carry quality new and used guitars and amps, and tons of effects! We offer some of the best and most affordable repairs in Minnesota — whether it’s a guitar set-up or an amp repair. We have parts, we special order, and will do just about anything to make your experience a good one.
Twin Town Guitars has changed a bit through out the years. People, including Jimmy, have come and gone. But the premise is still the same, and their hard work carries on. In 2005 Twin Town tripled in size to offer a Lesson Program, a new shop and more than twice the showroom space. Now you can actually walk around!
There have been guitars on the corner of Lyndale Avenue South and 34th Street since August 1997, picking up where the legendary Benedict Guitar Shop left off in 1995. There’s a strong tradition of good service and cool guitars and amps that continues to this day—a music store by and for the people!
